Yea, i remember him grabbing it after slicing him in half but wasn't sure.....perhaps he came across it again later.

That would have been a good entry point for Ahsoka to bring the saber to Obi wan but yea i do believe he grabs it on mustafar.

It will be interesting to see if they try to do a fight that's somewhere in between the brutality and energy of the one in Sith and the more subtle chess match we see in ANH. I don't think they'll just hack away at each other. I bet there will be some battle of the mind in there too.

The real question is, when Vader bests Obi-Wan.... will Vader have the high ground?

It's been too long for me to be certain, but my memory matches yours. I think he grabs it.

Great point though about Ahsoka! That would have been a rad way to introduce her into the story.

Yoda says he'll teach Obi-Wan to commune with Qui-Gon. And that Qui-Gon will train Obi-Wan to become one with the Force. It's been 10 years. That training is still going on, yeah?

Luke’s ROTJ saber as he’s made a new one and almost identical to kenobis.
In canon he used kenobis guide to make it.
In filmmaking terms they just reused kenobis saber

Honestly, that pic from EW with Ewan alone in that cave that's all washed in blue light feels like a scene where he could be talking to Qui-Gon. May not be, but it has that feeling, I think.

Its one of the biggest through lines that need to be connected here. "Teach you this i will..." as obi wan parts ways with Yoda. Then onto Obi wan deciding he will be more powerful as a dead jedi than alive and becoming a force ghost .....

Its too big not to dive deep into.

Are Favreau and Filoni involved with this at all? Or a completely different artistic team?
