yes but i dont know why he would go to KC.
KC is the only team whos interview list ive come across,, he could be on most everyones
The only team I've heard connected to Saban is the Browns. I don't think it's out of the pale that Saban could go back to the NFL, especially if he beats ND next week. He may not have much else to achieve in college, and his ego might lead him to try to be the best at both levels.
That's definitely the argument for him to go. I think Alabama wins on Monday, and if so that's 3 titles in 4 years. Nowhere to go from that kind of run but down, so this would be the time to leave. He'll be a hero in Alabama forever, even if his next gig goes terribly.

I know Peyton has said a lot of nice things about Mike McCoy as the OC, but I'm kind of amazed at the interest he's getting from the Cardinals (and I guess also the Bears and Bills?).
Broncos offense has been great this year ... wasn't so much the other years he's been the OC. Does anyone think this year's success might not be because of him? I mean, if he goes I'll probably miss him, but ... not that much.

Ive always been of the opinion that peyton was the oc on game day, at least as far as play calling, but have no idea if durring the wee mccoy might have a bigger impact on all players on offense. Im probably totally wrong about that, but if he is gonna get a hc job, its gonna be durring the time when peyton is a healthy bronco to make him look good.

Well, he was hired by McDaniels (a great offensive mind) and in that year, Orton put up big numbers. He helped Denver make the playoffs somehow with Tebow at the helm, led the league in rushing that year. And he's worked with Manning this year. I would say he is one of the offensive innovators that deserve a chance somewhere. It's all about finding that "next" guy. I hope the Bears get him. I like Kyle Shanahan too.

McCoy deserves a look more for what he did last year than this year. The fact that Denver made the playoffs (and won a playoff game!) with the offense they had is absolutely stupefying.

Denver was 23rd last year (2011) in offensive DVOA. That they made the playoffs and won a playoff game with an offense that bad is not a recommendation of what McCoy was doing.
I will grant you, I was very impressed last year with he and Fox and their willingness to embrace the only way Tebow could play. Plenty of NFL coaches wouldn't have done that and would have let Tebow go down in flames trying to be a pocket passer.
He could certainly develop into a quality coach, but I guess I'd have to see a lot from him in an interview to believe it. But then I'm typically wary of upgrading a coordinator to a head coach--I've too many memories of the likes of Wade Phillips, Norv Turner, etc.

Well that's what I meant, the fact that they were that high with a guy who couldn't beat mark Sanchez for a starting job is crazy. That offense should have probably been last in the league with Tebow's passing "ability."

they did lead the league in rushing, probably the reason the were ranked that high

I, for one, am happy the Lions decided to keep Schwartz. Of the people here whose teams fired their coaches, does it bother you that most of the openings look like their just going to be filled by the guys fired from other teams?

the only ones i was aware of receiving interviews was Reid, Lovie and Wisenhunt. has then been any talk of Norv Turner, Chan Gailey, Romeo Crennel or Pat Schumer getting consideration?

No, I suppose not. But other names that have popped up include Haley and McDaniels. Hell even Arians.
Not saying none of those guys can succeed, just doesn't seem like (outside of McCoy) there are a lot of up and coming coaches in the mix this year for head coaching gigs.

im surprised i havent heard Mike Zimmer's name mentioned yet this year, but Cinci is still in the playoffs so hey may get more mentions soon, but i still think when he gets his shot, he will be a good HC

I would've fired Schwartz if I thought I could land an upgrade.
