A topic where you can all post the best live versions of Once you can find, or discuss the transformation of Once live over the years.

Originally I thought maybe a topic to find the best live version of each song would be great, because then you could at the end have a reference to ALL THE BEST LIVE VERSIONS OF ALL OF THE SONGS.

But then I thought...it'd also be interesting to discuss different versions of each song over the years and see how they transformed.

And because you guys hate clutter I figured they could both be in one place.

So post your favorite ever live version of Once, post different versions of it over the years, or just discuss how you think the band plays this live - whether its which drummer plays it best, which tour it sounded greatest on, etc, etc, etc

Also this whole thing was literally inspired by me going 'I wish I knew the best live version of Black so I could send it to my friend' so now you see how my mind works because I then decided we should have a giant topic for each song

I personally think this song rarely works for me. I don't know what it is but I rarely love it live. It just loses something IDK what. And weirdly it often drags to me.

If you think you are going to do this for every song, I can promise you it won't go over well, just like your attempts in the live forum. You could just post them in the SOTM thread for each song...

yeah, this isn't happening for each song, mjd. Just post the live versions you like in the song threads and discuss them there. What is wrong with doing that?

SOTM is more about the studio track, this is a corresponding series for LIVE versions, discussing the best LIVE version ever, and comparing LIVE versions to each other. It has nothing to do with the album track unless the album track is in comparison to a live version

I'm just telling you how this is going to go down. Just like in the Live forum, people don't want clutter. So, good luck.

And SOTM isn't just about the studio track, it is about the song in general. Go into one of them, like Brain of J, and you'll see people post their favorite live versions. It is about the SONG, not the STUDIO or the LIVE version.

I could have made a topic that is simply saying BEST LIVE VERSION which would have been more focused but I thought discussions of live versions were interesting too and so I PUT THEM BOTH IN ONE PLACE.
