Hop Along, Courtney Barnett and Mitski seem possible and I'd be super excited for any of these.

I feel like we're due for a new Jicks album and a new Yo La Tengo, but I haven't been following release calendars at all.

Jason Sharp's second album, Stand Above the Streams, is out February 23 on Constellation. He continues to explore the interaction of body and technology, playing baritone and bass saxophones while connected to a customized heart monitor that triggers drums, feedback, synths, and sine wave patterns.
Briefly, one could stream the whole thing on Bandcamp, and presumably download it, too, but that's since been remedied. Here's the majority of "Pt. 3":

There's a manager at my bar who makes the most weirdly dated playlists for his shifts. Arctic Monkeys feature predominantly along with Kaiser Chiefs, Babyshambles, Kasabian and The Hives. He's like 48. The music on this list was new when he was my age now, which is to say that he was already on the verge of being out of touch when that wave of nu-Britpop originally came out. I don't get it.

I say that fully aware of the irony of me typing about Yo La Tengo and Pavement related things just a few posts up.

Excited for Camp Cope, Yo La Tengo and Hop Along (something seems to be happening on their facebook page). The Tallest Man On Earth is recording as well so let's hope for that. My Bloody Valentine said their new album is coming "100%" but this is Kevin Shields we're talking about here...
