I like these slightly shorter sets. Maybe the band is tighter?

Allowing for the fact that any modern setlist is going to contain the last 2-3 nausea-inducing pop/punk covers they've pooped out, this is otherwise a pretty righteous set. My enthusiasm would have ground to a halt with Parting Ways, but I think I'm in the minority there.

I think that was my favourite show that I've been to. Eddie had issues - he mentioned that he'd been to see two throat doctors during the day.

Oh fuck. Years of smoking didn't help.

ed gets sick more than anyone i know
if he'd stop sharing his wine bottle with total strangers, maybe he'd be well for an entire tour

I mean, not THAT much worse than he can sound of late. A few more missed notes, a few more "let the crowd sing" bits. It probably won't make a great boot or anything, but the crowd was OK with it - didn't affect the night or anything.

I’m getting pretty much over that last 5-song run. It’s becoming as predictable as seeing Free Bird last at a Skynyrd show.

yeah same. good to know that once they hit a certain song, you can leave early if you need to, bc the rest is pretty predictable.

Agree. I do like, in theory, the idea of them cutting down the covers and playing a tighter show which picks songs from throughout their career. But they've gotta mix up the end of the show, especially if it's just one encore.

And that'll be the night they play Little Wing instead of Yellow Ledbetter.

Man, I really had a good time at that show. Helped that I had really good neighbours, bar a drunk bro behind me who got a bit annoying towards the end. I enjoyed it from start to finish, only fading during Footsteps, which is just dull. After Off He Goes and Sleeping By Myself, it sounded like they were about to start Smile, which would've been such a good three song encore intro. MYM is a lot of fun live, as designed.

Parting Ways is the first thing that popped out at me.
Glad they are willing to mix it up so much (you are, of the girl, parting ways, wishlist, down, etc)

RITFW needs to be officially retired.
