That's solid. :haha:

The underlying intentions are irrelevant as long as they inspire sincere effort to produce a polished product.

Because they are still pretty good dudes who put on a fun music show.

Would you appreciate them more, less, or the same if they continued to tour but discontinued releasing half-assed new material?

For some people, the tour is 80% of what matters (shrug)

They haven't put on a show worthy of their reputation in like ten years.

Hence the disparity, perhaps. I very much prefer a well-recorded mindfuck via $300 Bose headphones to a "concert".

Probably more, but I don't really expect them to release a classic at this stage in their careers. Most artists don't.

Radiohead do.

Radiohead do.
Most artists, not all.

Also, the most recent Radiohead album is incredibly overrated on this board.

I couldn’t care less if they do. I saw them twice on the Riot Act tour, my 3rd and 4th shows, and by the end of the last one it felt like overkill. Like, man, I’ve gotten what I’m gonna get out of this, and am stuck on repeat. I haven’t felt the urge to see them again since.

And when bands are no longer enjoyable, and begin to reek of lethargy, it's time to move on, be it inevitable or not.

Moon Shaped Pool is not overrated on any board. You may have a distaste for the style, but you can't argue the quality of effort and production.

Agree. I barely enjoyed the last PJ show I saw.

I've probably listened to that album 20 times and cannot recall a single song. It's very well made background music.
