Added Avengers to the header post; official numbers are in and it grossed over $257m. Almost guarantees that Solo will be, at the very best, the 3rd-highest opening weekend this year (3rd is the same spot Rogue One holds for 2016). But I wouldn't be surprised if Deadpool 2 or/and Jurassic World 2 gross more.

We're going to keep this open until Wednesday or so, so get your guesses in now!

I'll update the header post with official numbers on Tuesday or so, but it looks like Deadpool 2 is going to open with ~$125m, making it the third highest opening weekend this year (behind Avengers and Black Panther). Will Solo be above or below that? Only 4 people who have guessed so far think so.

I'm gonna stick with my number. But I'm worried it might be a bit low, now.

Weirdly, dead pool 2 beat averngers at the box office this weekend but with less than the first films opening weekend.

This opens the field up. Solo is going to fucking crush it opening weekend.

I’m still thinking it’ll do even better in its second week. Everyone is saying how much fun it is and it’s got huge Star Wars feel good factor

I don't know man. I really can't imagine it making more money in week two than week one. But I could see it having only a small drop off.

No way it makes more in week two with the holiday weekend being the opening weekend.

No, but some may be more inclined to go to a Sunday evening screening knowing they don't have work the next day.
