so hard/scared right now
My apologies, that is not my intent. You've mentioned in other threads how few games you play these days. I didn't know you've played several of those other games.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I feel like we are misreading each other’s tones because you have come across bizarrely hostile/confrontational in this interaction from my perspective
getting too old and slow for twitch shooters amirite?Monkey_Driven wrote:My apologies, that is not my intent. You've mentioned in other threads how few games you play these days. I tend to prefer FPS games with slower mechanics that don't require lightning quick reaction times.
No worries; I’m sure I often come off harsher than I think I do. I think we just have opposing tastes in FPS games; the slower ones usually just feel clunky and antiquated to me.Monkey_Driven wrote:My apologies, that is not my intent. Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
That world needs a slower pace/build-up and a more unsettling atmosphere. I hate how they just throw you into the chaos. Made it feel very cheap and “game-y” fo me.tragabigzanda wrote:The latest Doom is not very good. Totally worth the $5 I paid for it, but it got repetitive very quickly.

I just downloaded Titanfall 2.LoathedVermin72 wrote:No worries; I’m sure I often come off harsher than I think I do. By the way, if we’re talking multiplayer, Titanfall 2 would be my pick.
That's not a FPS. That's an adventure game with a first person perspective.tree_ wrote:What'd you think of Metroid Prime?
What would be an example of that?Monkey_Driven wrote:I just downloaded Titanfall 2.LoathedVermin72 wrote:No worries; I’m sure I often come off harsher than I think I do. What do you think of team based/strategy FPSs?
Also, what do you think of Treyarch dropping the single player story mode from the new Black Ops?
Overwatch, Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike, etc.LoathedVermin72 wrote:What would be an example of that?Monkey_Driven wrote:I just downloaded Titanfall 2.LoathedVermin72 wrote:No worries; I’m sure I often come off harsher than I think I do. I think it’s the death of COD. A COD game without a campaign is worthless. This will be the first COD game I haven’t bought since BO2.
How's the grind? I thought the mechanics of the first installment were top notch. It just got really repetitive.jwfocker wrote:Destiny 2 is a super polished FPS. Worth checking out.

If I had some people to play with online I would be more inclined to check it out.jwfocker wrote:Grind is better. Still has the top notch mechanics from the first destiny. Honestly, it's the best mechanics in my mind.Monkey_Driven wrote:How's the grind? I thought the mechanics of the first installment were top notch.
