You should be able to get right on and fight pretty quickly.. I don't do that mode often..
Every now and then me and my brother log in n fight.. my guys are more leveled up and have better gear but there's ways you can even it out

The fuck? You level up to grow stronger... in a multiplayer fighting game?
That's some of the wackest shit I've heard.

I thought that at first, but no, it adds to the game.. you can do certain things (fight for more valuable gear and abilities) as your character gets stronger

I honestly have no idea if there's a rhyme or reason to anything
I know you can use tokens to upgrade low gear to your current level.. n it generates new stats.. but sometimes the come out worse
And yeah they'll definitely let you compete with higher level guys.. not sure to what extent.. I play the level 30 bosses with guys in the 20s (with good gear) and win

MK is more fun to watch than to play. Inferior mechanically than basically any other fighter, IMO.

I feel like the system relies on projectiles too heavily. Also, fighting in the pocket is less flow-y. It's like a clunky game of paper, scissors, rock to me. With Tekken and Smash it's more like paper, spatula, scissor, stapler, is-that-a-fucking-feather-duster?, rock.
I love MK's attitude towards crossovers, though. It's miles ahead in that regard.

I guess with some fighters it's projectile heavy

A lot of the good fighters have that flow you speak of
Not me tho haha
I don't get smash at all.. I'm trying n all.. got it to hold me over.. one minute I hate it, one minute I'm like this ain't so bad.. still prefer mk n injustice x1000 tho

I always considered Punch Out a sports game, not a fighting game.
