When you go cover a festival the size of Lollapalooza, unexpected things happen throughout the day. On Sunday, after talking Marcelo D2 and BNegão on the show that would make Planet Hemp in the event (they also told EU partners that will burn a DVD in Sao Paulo on June 14), the press office staff picked me up in the room interviews and took me - a golf cart - to speak with guitarist (and founder) of Pearl Jam, Stone Gossard. He had requested this interview, but I could not refuse the proposal of the musician, who wanted to enjoy the passage by St. Paul to talk about his second solo disc, Moonlander - scheduled for release on June 25. When you get time to work on hard-ground?

Actually, I can not take the time to create a unique album, but never stop producing. I selected several songs and assemble affinity to realize that there was a disk. Has song that was made in 2003, but also includes material that appeared in the last six months. I'm happy to have finished. I want to see if people will like.

I Need Something Different could be a song by Pearl Jam. How do you separate the tracks going into the solo career and that will be written by Pearl Jam?

I do a lot of songs, but you can not push everything to the banda. I would be if I got a boring guy talking to others: 'Look what I did this song, and now look at this, let's record this too?'. As we all write, we need to divide the repertoire with others. Sometimes you can only include two of his compositions in a disk of banda. Therefore, the soil is important. It's a way to shed light on cool stuff of my own.

The name of the song I Need Something Different is funny. It's a message to yourself?

The song title came actually from the way she was made. I was listening to the sound of the bass and drums in a loop, so I began writing what was on my mind. Generally, this is not my case, but I thought 'wake up and do something.' It's good to abandon our foibles. By the way, who played drums in that band was Matt Chamberlain, who played with Pearl Jam long ago.

Maybe do something specific. I mean, if fans love the hard and get in the door of my house screaming, I might even go on tour (laughs). No kidding, I have a family and want to spend more time at home.
