Pop was a step down from Zooropa which was a (smaller) step down from Achtung Baby. It was followed by the massive step down of ATYCLB.

Pop Mart was one of the coolest things U2 has ever done. And Pop, the album, is very good. And Discotheque fucking grooves like nobody’s business.
