I just listened to both songs -- I didn't remember the Hoobastank track until I got to the "why are you running away" part, which triggered a whole rush of Hot Topic-clad memories. "Youth of the Nation" is a garbage song. "Running Away" is pretty bland, but at least it's not terrible. Bland > terrible, at least in this round.

I hate both of these songs. I voted for POD as my own piece of personal revenge against my group of co-workers who loved Hoobastank (roughly) 15 years ago.
