It definitely was for me. And I was just "sticking with it" to complete the story. The last 5 or so Marvel movies, less Ragnarok, were not great.

as long as I have a teenage kid interested in the movies I'll continue to watch them, though he's just about to the point of going to the movies with his friends way more often than with us.

Interesting, she says that he gave away something big by saying her characters last name.
According to interwebs, Melina Vostokoff is also known as The Iron Maiden, an agent for the Russian gov and was forced to live in the shadow of Black Widow.
