Really digging the game so far. Good story, good combat, cool loot, great world to investigate.

I'm still having fun with this, but I'm growing increasingly disappointed that the game is pretty much all leveling up, combat, and clearing out strongholds. There are so many opportunities for the RPG story and character elements to make this something special, but they are terribly executed. The whole thing feels kinda empty.

This has been a major critique of mine with the series as well. Does everything else seem well made? Is the combat engaging?

Yeah, it’s perfectly fine and polished and all that. I just want it to be more.

This happens when you have thousands of people working on it spread out in studios around the world.

Discovered my first tomb today. Cool and unexpected. Now I think I’m on the trail of an actual Minotaur. This game is winning me over more and more. It’s cool how you can sail to random places in search of cultists, then spend hours on a contained adventure. Engage in a huge gladiatorial battle with suspicious benefactors, get swept up in a romance while trying to overthrow a government, etc. You never know what you’ll find.

:nice:

Found the Arena the other night. That was bad ass. Good rewards too.

Over 50 hours in and I’m about halfway though the story. MD was right - this game is huge.

I saw your post earlier about the one side activity, but are the others fulfilling/worth doing? Not just a collectathon?

Most of the side quests are extremely fetch-y and repetitive, sadly.

It makes me happy that the snow-covered mountains in the distance can actually be climbed. Videogames sure have come a long way.
