It's a shame when people complain about something like this. That way when Disney makes something awful, they can just point at how people even complained about the good news.

ESB is the last thing that didn't have a giant contingent of haters.

Empire was as troublesome and divisive as last Jedi upon release tho.
Lotta fans didn’t like it repeat viewings dropped off in a huge way and it was only viewed as a classic and best of them all once ROTJ was released and everyone had context.

I'm going to go with an "optimistic meh" for this news.

I'm with you. Rogue One was such a great movie that I think my expectations for a series would be too high. Although a series with Saw raising Jyn in his rebellion group would be fun.

The rumour was circulating that the Disney streaming service would have a non family friendly element. It would also cater to adults. This looks like it could be on that tier.

Interesting. My understanding is that we've seen K2's reprogramming and teaming up with Cassian in the comics. And chronologically it's not that far ahead of R1.

Wonder what that means for the timeline of the show. And/or K2's character in the series.

Can we get the thread title changed to Cassian, please?

This almost went under the radar :)

remember that all the comics and animated shit are only "canon for the time being" until any of it comes into conflict with something they want to do in the live-action realm

You’re 100% correct Plat but they haven’t done that once at all so far in the new canon to the best of my knowledge. They’ve been consistent and cohesive throughout all output. To a pretty impressive degree.
