Turns out Y: The Last Man is really bad. Poorly acted, the storyline is all over the place but doesn’t advance or go anywhere, and the acting is really bad

Watched S2 E1 of The Great. It did not disappoint. I'm so fucking pumped that this show is back!

Interesting that they dropped all of S2 at once. We're going to take our time and not binge the whole thing immediately. We're gonna try to keep it to a maximum of 1 episode per day and maybe not even that frequently. We'll see.

But it's so good!

I'm 3 episodes into S2 and loving it. Elle Fanning is such a superstar. Nicholas Hoult is incredible in this as well.

I'm doing 1 episode a day as well. I tend to do that for most shows.

It's nice to have the option of either. And in the past, I've been a big binge watcher. I like that I'm dialing back on that now. It's nice to have some time and space to process/think/talk about the show.

I need to read up on the real history. I find myself wondering how much of this is based in actual events. Like, did some actual version of that showdown with the roasted pork happen? What's the real story there?

Yep. I find I absorb and remember the episodes better when not binging.

I didn't realize the second season was already released, but I had a big thing for her in the first. She looked so familiar also, but I couldn't find anything i'd seen her in.

I tried it from time to time but could never get into it. Never found it funny. And I REALLY love Alyson Hannigan.

In real time I thought the show was great. Tons of charm. And I still appreciate some of the themes they tackled and the way they dealt with some different aspects of friendship and growing up -- stuff I hadn't seen handled in that way in a TV sitcom before.

Over time, it hasn't aged well at all. It can be pretty gross and offensive in a lot of respects. But I still value the things that initially made me love it.
