Is Buster Scruggs the equivalent of Backspacer? Or its more close to Riot Act?

I'd give the move as a whole 4/5. I liked all the stories and it felt like a short story book in movie format. There are a lot of short stories that veer from having the normal "beginning, middle, and end" so some of these vignettes worked fine in the movie.
