Thanks for this thread, tree. Sent me down a rabbit hole that led me to a Jimmy Chin doc called Meru, which in turn made me want to pick up the phone and talk to my brother-in-law about climbing. He’s taking me to a rock gym next week.

You're welcome. I posted it cause I couldn't stop watching these videos. I had to stop because I started watching videos of people actually falling... and dying...

That's cool.. just don't get hooked on the thrill. It can rewire your brain so that it's the only thing that thrills you anymore and next thing you know you're dead.

I just want to do be able to do pull-ups and have a reason to buy cool rock gym gear at Whole Earth Provisions.

What other free soloings are there? I know there's at least free soiling where people walk wires or ropes or whatever . What else?

I think I read about buildering, which is like bouldering but with buildings. Honnold has done some of that.

I mean, maybe.

It seems like the sheer verticality of a building coupled with the fragility of a window (even doubled paned) would make finding a route way less obvious.

Everyone knows I’ve always been the biggest tree fan on the board, so that sounds about right.
