Point is BS without 10

I think you might be missing what this thread is going after. Singles as a first impression. Ten was a slow starter, without a built in audience. The inital singles didn't make much of an impression, and the subsequent singles aren't what this thread is about.nightmareblack0206 wrote:So in late 92/early 93 when JEREMY, YL, ALIVE, EF were tearing up the charts, your telling me that is un equatable? Come on. ...
Which is why I did include the vs. singlenightmareblack0206 wrote: There wasn't a "established audience" in 1992-release of VS? LMFAO. ....THAT'S RICH
They had the biggest audience of fans during this time.
WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH 10NancyBabich wrote:Who You Are hints that No Code will be more No Codeish than it actually is.
Dave Grohl said his first impression of PJ after hearing "Alive" on the radio was that they sounded like a bunch of truckers.stip wrote:Singles as a first impression.

You do know that Dave Grohl was the drummer for Nirvana right? A band which was candidly critical of PJ since day 1Kevin Davis wrote:Dave Grohl said his first impression of PJ after hearing "Alive" on the radio was that they sounded like a bunch of truckers.stip wrote:Singles as a first impression.

Regardless of lack of audience or expectations, doesn't Ten still fit the mold of this exercise? To answer this question, the album has to have been listened to in order to evaluate how the lead single represents that album. This really wasn't a first impressions thread...or was it?In most cases these are not the best songs on their respective albums, but are they indicative of those albums?
No, you must be thinking of someone else. Dave Grohl is the lead singer for Foo Fighters.nightmareblack0206 wrote:You do know that Dave Grohl was the drummer for Nirvana right?
