Sometimes I think it would be cool if there was a version of "Parting Ways" with Ed O'Brien on guitar and Phil Selway on drums, with really nice harmony vocals from Neil Finn, and then it occurs to me, "Wait a minute, there is a version of 'Parting Ways' with Ed O'Brien on guitar and Phil Selway on drums, with really nice harmony vocals from Neil Finn!" That cover we were talking about is the best interpretation I've ever heard of a Pearl Jam song.

5 star song for sure. Really like the "volcano ready to explode at some point" reference in strat's post - this song just nails a certain kind of tension, like when a relationship begins to unravel.
