The Downey Jr episode was good. The Chappelle episode was fucking fantastic.

Just watched RDJ, Kim K and Chapelle. You can tell Dave was most excited with Chapelle. Kim's only interesting bit was her walking around the CVS with Dave.

Yeah. He and chapelle really have great respect and admiration for each other. It was great to see.

David Letterman has revealed which six celebrities will join him on the fourth season of his Netflix talk show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.
Premiering May 20, this season will see the former Late Show host sit down with Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ryan Reynolds, Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant, and, notably, Will Smith.
(In a release, Netflix added that all of the interviews were conducted prior to March 2022, which is the streaming service’s way of saying that Smith does not discuss his infamous Oscars slap of Chris Rock, as that incident hadn’t happened yet.)
It’s unclear when the episodes were filmed, but it appears now that Letterman’s surprise hijacking of a Durant press conference in Sept. 2021 — where he asked silly questions like “Why do people call you K.D.?” to the unamused basketball player — was likely a bit connected to that episode.
All six episodes of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction will hit Netflix on May 20.

Just watched the Eilish ep. It was pretty good, Dave seemed to really enjoy hanging out with her and her brother. She looked like she was having fun with him too.

I just watched the Kanye episode last night. I thought Dave did a great job of treading lightly but sticking to his guns around areas where West may have freaked out and derailed the interview. Good stuff.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

awful interview
BUT
cool VG story: i actually met the guy in Cannes this year. I saw a panel he did for a very small gathering at the Bloomberg house and then talked with him and Karl Penn for a while.
Cool and smart dude! i almost felt bad for not liking him in movie. I did praised him for Mississippi Grind and Adventureland.
