I personally love when bands like the Beastie boys take the time to isolate legit filler tracks like that on their albums instead of just using them as intros to the songs they segue. It made mix tapes and mix CDs a lot more fun to assemble back in the day.

I should probably listen to him at some point in my life.

Unrelated, Any Colour You Like is probably my favorite song on Dark Side of the Moon, but you never hear about that one or the two other instrumentals on that album decried as "filler" the same way as the same types of tracks on lesser albums.

That album cover is very appealing to me. Looks like an instagram composition and filter combo I would have used back in 2012.
