Being president gives him a sort of shield from state action for now.
Which is why I personally feel he's truly getting rattled now.

yeah but a self pardon has a better chance of not surviving a court fight
and a self pardon almost forces the biden justice department to prosecute just to test the precedent it would set

Pence won't pardon Trump. Those rioters were looking for Pence and Trump would have been fine if they ripped him in half. They are totally donezo - not invited to birthday party
