I'm still nervous to do this. I like the Pixel launcher, but I would be interested in customizing my icon skins. I'm just not sure if it's worth the possible headache.

Changing to a different launcher is pretty simple. Your original launcher is retained. If you don't like then new one, uninstall the launcher app and it reverts to the original one.

Which launcher is the most secure?

None. The security stuff is within Android itself. The launcher is like putting a new skin on your Windows start menu.

I did it once and the biggest hassle was having to reinstall everything after Android updated. I gave up on it pretty quickly.

That was ages ago, though, so it might not apply anymore.

I really enjoy the Pixel launcher that makes this phone what it is. I've also figured out a way to hack into my phone's main frame and change the icon shapes and accent colors, so I'm good for now.

Thanks for your help, RM.

Okay, let's be serious for a second and talk about messaging on Android.

I would say the biggest adjustment in switching OS for me has been dealing with my group texts I used on iMessage. I'm now the only Android user on my long running chat with friends and they do not want to switch to WhatsApp. It's a real pain. Will the upcoming RCS feature rolling out on Google phones solve this issue?

Ruddo. Android user to Android user, that dog vid you just sent me via MMS or SMS or whatever was compressed AF. I just don't know if that's my problem, your problem, or a problem inherent with Android messaging.
