Gonna go with post punk I think. There's just so much great stuff there that I continue to discover even today, literally 40 plus years later.

Variety is the spice of life. Right now I'd have a hard time choosing between synthwave, lofi hip hop, stoner doom and good ol' alt rock.

Alt rock is kinda cheating, though. It's a little broad.

Classic rock - I find it harder to define as time moves along but it’s my safe space to go back to when I don’t need the coolest newest thing, where the chords and rhythms and drums always communicate with me, and the discoveries even 40-50+ years later still happen - where the best album I’ve ever heard is still possibly out there in some used record bin or more realistically hidden away from the algorithm Spotify set for me.
