What would be truly AMAZING is if they can get Rick back even for one quick shot/line. That would break me in half. :heartbeat:

Seeing preteens busting ghosts in awkwardly comedic fashion does not excite me.

How does that relate to a "mistake" made by TFA?

The originals weren't comedic slapstick. My concern is, from that preview, that it will be more along the lines of cooky teens getting into mischief with their new powerful toys.

That's interesting. My biggest "fear" from the trailer is that the tone is too serious.

The story seems similar. A new generation discovering something we all knew it happened. And they are related to someone but no one really know who. If they are rebooting the first movie like they did in TFA, yeah thats a mistake.

yeah, i hope they maintain the seriousness. Im sure Reitman will do that. If i want a stupid comedy to riff on this material, we have the other ghostbusters movie.

Ugh...remember the dancing scene?

The original two films are incredible comedies. The recent reboot is far more in-line tonally with the original than this trailer leads me to believe Afterlife will be.

Yea but the humor is not slapstick or on your face comedy. Its subtle. Its in the banter and its all because of Murray.

I hear you. But there's a ton of slapstick in the OG, too. The subtle humor is the stuff I respond to most and like the best but we can't just ignore the other stuff.
