What would be truly AMAZING is if they can get Rick back even for one quick shot/line. That would break me in half.
Can you elaborate on this? What do you mean, exactly?VinylGuy wrote:well, im exited for the movie yeah....but it feels they are making the same mistake of TFA.

Paul Rudd line ..who are you? resonated with me.durdencommatyler wrote:Can you elaborate on this? What do you mean, exactly?VinylGuy wrote:well, im exited for the movie yeah....but it feels they are making the same mistake of TFA.
How does that relate to a "mistake" made by TFA?VinylGuy wrote:Paul Rudd line ..who are you? resonated with me.durdencommatyler wrote:Can you elaborate on this? What do you mean, exactly?VinylGuy wrote:well, im exited for the movie yeah....but it feels they are making the same mistake of TFA.
The originals weren't comedic slapstick. My concern is, from that preview, that it will be more along the lines of cooky teens getting into mischief with their new powerful toys.durdencommatyler wrote:Strat wrote:Seeing preteens busting ghosts in awkwardly comedic fashion does not excite me.
That's interesting. My biggest "fear" from the trailer is that the tone is too serious.Strat wrote:The originals weren't comedic slapstick. The story seems similar. A new generation discovering something we all knew it happened. And they are related to someone but no one really know who. If they are rebooting the first movie like they did in TFA, yeah thats a mistake.durdencommatyler wrote:How does that relate to a "mistake" made by TFA?VinylGuy wrote:Paul Rudd line ..who are you? resonated with me.durdencommatyler wrote:Can you elaborate on this? it was serious for the most part, but a few glimpses gave me pause with the above concerns i have.durdencommatyler wrote:That's interesting. Yea but the humor is not slapstick or on your face comedy. Its subtle. Its in the banter and its all because of Murray.durdencommatyler wrote:The original two films are incredible comedies. The recent reboot is far more in-line tonally with the original than this trailer leads me to believe Afterlife will be.
I hear you. But there's a ton of slapstick in the OG, too. The subtle humor is the stuff I respond to most and like the best but we can't just ignore the other stuff.Strat wrote:Yea but the humor is not slapstick or on your face comedy. Its subtle.
