Back at my last place, X months after I moved in I came home to a large package with smoke wafting off the top of the box at my doorstep. It was addressed to the former resident, whom I was still in contact with. I emailed ... a couple days went by before I heard back.
The box had some kind of "open immediately" message on it, so I did, and the "smoke" ended up being because the contents were packed in dry ice.
It was intended for, obviously, the former resident who was a rep for Tyson Chicken. I gather they were samples that he would take around to grocery stores. Anyway, when I finally got an email back from them they said to just toss it, they would ask for a new shipment at their new address. I said that yes I'd go ahead and dispose of it all.
Well, I had already unpacked the contents and put it in my freezer ... what would fit in my freezer, that is. I ended up taking about half of it over to my parents' house to store in the freezer in their garage.
This ended up happening at least one other time, maybe even twice.
Anyway, the contents of each shipment were dozens of bags of frozen chicken wings. Mostly Buffalo, some Honey BBQ. We are talking hundreds upon hundreds of wings. This was in my early/mid 20's and for a long time, my staple late night snack (think 2am getting buzzed/drunk/semi-wasted/shit-housed home from the bar) was chicken wings. I burned myself countless times taking them out of the oven, and since exhausting that supply I have hardly eaten a wing since.

I had a friend that used to crash on our couch in college. He just worked random fast food jobs and drank. He got a job at Hardee's and was fired three weeks later. On his way out, he grabbed a box that had thousands of manager cards where the manager was to fill in what they were giving the customer, like a comp card for bad service or something. They were good at all area Hardee's because they were all owned by one local person. I ate free Hardee's as long as I could that year of college, until I got just too sick of it.

I agree. But that first batch he got that sat there for a while, I'm surprised he survived them

That’s a cute story and everything but it’s not about late night snacks. Politely GTFO and make your way to the appropriate thread.
