Actually I haven't been in over decade but other than around the Cardinals stadium I was not impressed.
I'm sure there good parts of the city though, just didn't see them.

The downtown area is really lacking, though the new Arch Museum is cool.

Is St Louis pretty safe to walk around in? The hotel we’re looking at is a good little walk from the venue down Market Street.

Yeah, you'll be alright. The Cardinals are in town that weekend so there will be a decent amount of people downtown. Otherwise, it is pretty empty in the evenings.

They're trying to revitalize, but it's pretty slow or stagnant. Every time there is an opportunity for renewal the board of alderman fine ways to eff it up.


Anyway, you should be ok downtown for the concert. When baseball/hockey/concerts are going on it's not bad. Arch museum is nice. There's a new aquarium at Union Station, but I haven't been yet.

The hotel, which seems to be new as it's not opened yet, is right across the street from the aquarium.

We're definitely hitting the arch.
