we saw the actual trailer for this in the cinema before Dr Strange; beautiful visuals but I just can't imagine caring about this story

My general thinking since the original came out was:
1. amazing in-theater experience
2. a largely forgettable plot
3. how did this become the highest-grossing movie ever?
4. I can't believe they're sinking that much money into the sequels and shooting them all at once. This will be a disaster. No one wants to see a sequel, let alone four of them.

Then I saw the IMAX teaser before Dr. Strange. Can't wait.

I can guarantee you I won’t be seeing it. The first was bad enough. Why would I see a sequel to a movie I can’t stand and wish I had the 4 hours I spent watching back?
