It would be cool if they had a full band version as a bside or something.

I dig this. A lot. Thank god this is nothing like Future Days.

This has a very different feel from the typical Ed solo stuff of recent years...very good song

Second listen through and I dig this one for being just an Ed and geet tune.

I should be mad that this song is so long, it's super self-indulgent of Ed to put it on here
but I'm not mad, it has just the right amount of lighters-in-the-air concert intimacy
and the chorus is more Lost Dogs than... something else

I really need to hear more emotion out of Ed. He just sounds like he's going through the motions. Good enough song though. Kinda so-so. 3.18.

I'm super into this, but the casual fans are gonna head for beers when Ed plays it.

really like this just wish that the band played on it a bit. Some lap steel guitar would have been nice. perhaps some fretlass bass adding some flourishes.
Or even a ratty acoustic guitar with a slide recorded in a bathroom.

They should have gotten Tom Waits to arrange this one.

Thats exactly it! I was thinking Black Rebel Motorcycle and their acoustic tunes...
Tom Waits would have been perfect.

I kind of wish they'd put a little of that background room ambience magic in the background, but it's no biggy

This sounds great. Sort of an unassuming standout. Way to go, Ed (and Josh).

Don't know if anyone has said it already, but the intro sounds like a slower version of Far Behind. At least that's what comes to mind. Maybe it's just the chord he's playing.
