that's a good one. Even during the Jack years the live versions never really came together.
Sorry for being a pedant, but they never attempted No Way live with Jack.

Elderly Woman...

I've never heard a live version I liked, but the studio version is perfect.

The bit of No Way on Single Video Theory sounded pretty cool.

I wouldn't say it's their best but you're right, it's on another level.

For real?
Yeah.

Jack only played the Hawaii/NZ/Australian leg of the Yield tour (the Adelaide date of which was the first time I saw the band) and they never tried No Way on those shows.

They played it a few times with Matt later that year and then dropped it until 2009 (?).

The production on Riot Act is clean and purposeful. On Binaural it's beautifully airy and atmospheric. I reckon the best recording of a track committed to record though is something like In Hiding, Red Mosquito or Spin the Black Circle.

Alpine Valley 2011 kicked ass. And i think they played it 2010 too and it was amazing.

Good, so after almost 2 pages we've narrowed it down to 57 choices.

There are particular performances where they were able to catch the eeriness, weight, and atmosphere of a song...

Fatal
Sleight Of Hand
Nothing As It Seems
Strangest Tribe
Tremor Christ
Immortality
Of The Girl

There are probably instances where they matched those songs live, but i have no idea.

The original, harmonica-free, version of Footsteps. Also surprisingly the original Dirty Frank. Neither are my favorite Pearl Jam songs but the miss have to be the definitive versions of each.
