I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The movement looks super slow.

Chalamet and Isaac both scream their names to me. I wish the casting leaned on more interesting looking people or character actors, rather than a couple of hunky A-listers.

Looks like something that will go to great pains to feel artful and intelligent without being any fun.

I’ll still see it and hope that I’m wrong.
OK, if you're down on Chalamet and Oscar Isaac, I'm not even able to engage with you on this. I wish you good luck

I bought the book today in an effort to read it before seeing the film.
Then I saw Anders post on the previous page with the complete chronology.

Holy fuck. No way in hell all of them are good enough to doing the whole list

Chalamet is a prince you leave him alone.

That’s what gives me hope. Anything DV has touched that I’ve seen I’ve loved.

No way her go near this if it wasn’t in great shape on the page.

Felt the exact opposite of trag, as a huge fan of the book this is the best the story has ever been cast. Not super familiar with the actress playing Jessica but everyone else is spot on. Paul is essentially a male witch so Chalamet and his vibe are perfect.

And DSotM in the trailer was a welcome surprise.

I remember watching the Original as a young teenager. Maybe i was home sick from school one day and it was on TV while i was down in our basement with the lights off. I remember being captivated. I watched it maybe 10 years after that and felt bored out of my mind.

Perhaps i should watch it again.
