Any clue what software they might be using to collaborate like this ? No latency. Sound is wonderful.

I agree, I have always thought Jack was an underrated songwriter. His music does have some dippy tendencies, but his first few albums at least are full of smart, well-written songs.Tuolumne wrote:JJ doesn't get enough love from some corners of the music loving public.

Re: Kokua festival livestream
Jack closed out the show with three of these, first the duet with Ed, then a song with all three members of his band, and finally a big finale with something like a dozen others (looked like Brady Bunch).Strat wrote:Any clue what software they might be using to collaborate like this ? I thought the duet with Ed was live, but watching again and seeing the others, I think it was a roundrobin, recorded earlier. He calls it a “build.” Also would explain why he’s not wearing headphones in the Ed duet. Still masterful, but way easier to accomplish.

Ed sounded good. Wondering how good he'll get on the acoustic.

Its likely Ed was playing along to the recording Jack sent him. Can tell he is listening as much as playing

Nah the whole thing was streamed on Jack’s Facebook page too. Ed Ved was added late, like Friday night.
