its a toss up with them and judas priest. while not technically hair bands they were easily the most popular (along with ozzy) in the 80s as actual metal bands

I went to an Ozzfest in my 20s. Judas Priest played that night. It's not my kind of music, but they know what they're doing. It was good. Ozzy was a lot of fun.

You guys damn well know I didn’t mean Iron Maiden or Judas Priest when I said hair metal. I meant glam shit like Motley Crue or the aforementioned Warrant.

Side note: I saw Iron Maiden last year, it was awesome.

I saw Priest when I was 13 at Ozzfest, but at that point in time I only knew You Got Another Thing Comin’ and Breaking the Law.
