Im a big fan, my favourite is Star Dust, followed by American Gods. Just read Ocean and liked it very much.

does American Gods gets better in the second half?

Yeah I didn't like American gods at all.

He's my favourite author for sure. Loved Neverwhere, Stardust, Coraline and The Graveyard Book in particular, but everything he does is good. I have read a couple of those to my kids as before bed reading, taking a few weeks to get through a story.

I've read a few things. American gods was okay. Graveyard book was excellent and I love his book with terry Pritchett.

Plus I kinda have a thing for his wife

Did you see the song for the Daily Mail? I'm not the worlds biggest Amanda Palmer fan, but I liked that

She seems interesting. She was on radio here the other day and just knocked out a song on ukulele and it was wonderful. She then did an impromptu gig on the street here the next day.
Interesting character.

American Gods definitely seems to be a book that splits opinion. I loved it but plenty of people seem to really not like it.

Yes but probably only if you liked the first half. If you didn't there is a good chance that you will think that the second half gets worse.

I got to sit in on his Sunday panel at comic con. He is writing a Shadow short story that will appear in a compilation book next year put together by GRRM. He said he has another short story about Shadow that will lead into American Gods 2 eventually.

He also mentioned he is writing a neverwhere short story and of course lots of talk about the 6 issue Sandman run starting Oct 30th.

Sadly he did not haev much to say about American Gods on HBO. Came across as a very cool guy during the interview.

All of his talk about how he wrote his latest novel with his wife in mind makes me want to read it. It is on my agenda now for sure.

I didn't make it through the first time I read it. Liked it the second time. Loved it the third. Not sure if my tastes changed over the years, sometimes I feel Neil's voice is something you need to be in the mood for.

Neverwhere was my favorite until Ocean. I love his kids books too, and am still waiting impatiently for The Graveyard Book to be made into a movie!

I really enjoyed it. Not sure where i rank it amongst his work but i know I'm glad i read it.

Yeah, it definitely left me with the warm and fuzzies.

I really liked American Gods, but his Sandman work is the gold standard.

I've read American Gods, Stardust and I'm currently reading his Norse Mythology book. I've liked them all.

I liked American Gods a lot more on my second read. Fan of the show, too.

I'd be curious to see what you'd think of Stardust Stip.
