Yeah, look, I'll defend SBWM all day long. I love it. But Ruddo's right. This shouldn't be as close as it is. A couple of votes to acknowledge that it's a great new addition to the canon and to keep it from being a shutout? Sure. I totally get that and I support it. But that's as far as it goes. 4 votes. 4 votes is fine.

SBWM grew on me a lot over time, but YL is just an all time PJ classic. Like WES vs I Got Shit in the other thread. WES is my favorite song on Gig, but over 25-30 years, YL & I Got Shit have only cemented their status as top tier PJ songs in my mind.

I am super happy with this showing, even though it won't win. And Ledbetter is a stone cold masterpiece

Yellow Ledbetter might be the PJ song I dislike the most. I'll take Future Days with BoB on a shitty keyboard over YL.

For any other band or artist than Pearl Jam. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Tool, Bruce Springsteen, Kanye. Any of them would be lucky to write a song of such superior quality as Superblood Wolfmoon. I wouldn’t be surprised if Neil Young cried the first time he heard it.

Actually Kanye could stand to have a couple Wolfmoons in his repertoire
