If you hate Comatose I assume you also hate Lukin and Habit, right? Those are three fairly similar songs (of which I think Comatose is the best, but Habit is an acceptable answer)

People really getting this riled up about a song getting less than half the votes than the song they voted for?

Nah, once it pulled ahead I ceased to be riled up, but I am interesting in understanding the hate behind it. This is a legit 5 star song for me.

I don't hate Comatose. I just think in this particular matchup I prefer the song it's up against. That's it. Even though Lukin and Habit are similar, they're far superior to it.

I'm so fired up about OP getting less than half the votes I might never listen to Comatose again out of spite.

As much as one could get riled up about a fictional one on one battle between a song at the heart of a Pearl Jam album and a song that I am pretty the band probably has forgotten it even recorded?

Ultimately I am going to be okay either way, I think.

it's nowhere near a song i really, really like... and probably the bottom half of S/T for me, and i don't really have a solid reasoning behind it tbh. Ed's delivery seems super forced, and in some sort of restrained slow motion? sounds like he's trying to force out a really big dump.

i also remember reading how they had like 30 different versions of this song, and to me it feels like they just overworked it. would love to hear those early versions though.

There are worse things than ultra-fandom landing an appreciation for Olympic Dream. I don’t think it is a very good song though - maybe a slight upgrade from Ramblings.
RMer's can be quite obnoxious.

Comatose rips.
For all eternity.

Mike's solo in Comatose is a top ten one....also that bridge...Ed's voice there, the lyrics.

I love Comatose so much

Comatose is great. Underrated song on an underrated album

I really like Comatose, especially the guitar interplay between Stone and Mike.

Comatose is easily, far and away, the worst of the three for me. It might be my least favorite PJ album track.

I'm also not big on Habit. I think it kills what is an unfuckwithable opening run on No Code. I really wish it wasn't on the record. As a B-Side or lost dog, perhaps, I'd have more patience for it.

Lukin is great.
