Even though only half of you guys love IMT, it still baffles me. It's fine but it's not that good. It has always reminded me of U2 , maybe it's the delay, maybe it's the reaching of the vocals.
In My Tree is fine. Last Exit is sublime.

I don't really care for U2 so I have a hard time understanding that comp.

I voted for Last Exit, but I don’t see any relation to U2 on In My Tree. To me, it feels like a very natural song that has fingerprints of Jack Irons’s chemistry with the band. Jeff Ament and Jack Irons I think seem to share this great musics connection and this song is a banner for that. As the layering guitars and it’s just one awesome song.
I do currently prefer Last Exit right now.

IMT is trying to be a big anthem and i don’t think it really gets there. Kind of like Inside Job. Yes. In My Tree is just the prequel to Inside Job.

This is the toughest match of the round to me.
Any other day I'd have voted IMT, but I happened to be dancing with my 3 month old daughter to Pearl Jam today and she had no reaction to IMT but giggled at Last Exit.
So a vote for Last Exit.

I will reiterate that the ominous breaks, the chorus, and the bridge of IMT are just great, but boy do these verses fucking suck

Not really impressed with Last Exit. It’s pretty good. About 40-50 in my rankings I would guess.
