Sarge see what you can do

Your solution literally counts the likes, and if there’s no dislike option I’M OUTgiven2trade wrote:So confused why you guys dont like this. It won't COUNT the likes or dislikes. It will say at the bottom of the post "given2trade liked this post". That's it. So if 10 people like it it will say the 10 people who liked it. It won't count the likes. I also don't think there should be a dislike option.
Alternatively we can all make threads unreadable with people quoting a post and saying +1!

You're not wrong, but I can see this actually adding clutter. If implemented, you'd be replying to all the thumbs up posts saying they're not needed, only adding to the problem.given2trade wrote:So confused why you guys dont like this. Huh? This does NOT happen on the other board. Literally have never seen someone reply thanking them for thanking them for the post, LOL. All it does is remove bullshit clutter of people quote posting to say "WOW GREAT POST BRO!!!!!"Norris wrote:You're not wrong, but I can see this actually adding clutter. Sure. And that's bad? If Stip writes some huge post about how great some dumb Pearl Jam song is what's better? 20 people quote replying saying FUCKING AWESOME STIP! Or 20 people liking it and it showing up at the bottom of his post and he getting that satisfaction he made 20 people happy and the rest of us don't have to read 20 posts of "+10000000000"?E.H. Ruddock wrote:I think what bammer is saying is that it still counts the likes in that you can see all the people that liked it. So while it doesn’t say “ten people liked this post” it will show that ten people liked the post

I’m with you I’m just explaining bammers logic. This would also be helpful in putting a stop to all those Lenny quote pyramidsgiven2trade wrote:Sure. And that's bad? That’s fine but I think you’re trying to tell us that the names of people who like or dislike cannot be counted (WTF?) and that it is somehow less cluttery to do it your way than to simply show a running tally of likes or dislikes.given2trade wrote:Bammer you're an idiot it doesn't count anything. It just lists the names of the people who thanked for the post (or liked it, whatever). There is no running number count.
oh my god. hurl. you are a maniac!given2trade wrote: Think of a GD thread where someone posts something human. Instead of everyone feeling the need to reply "so sorry XYZ" some can just click "like" and show support to whatever the problem is.
