Keep in mind there have been multiple iterations of the original and prequel trilogies in the past Lego games that, I think, have a lot of the scenes you'd probably think of first.McParadigm wrote:But I’m honestly fascinated by the level design.
If you were going to make a Lego game based on the Phantom Menace, you might set a playable level in, say, the dash to escape from Naboo. You might include the opportunity to fly through the trade federation blockade, or maybe to be R2 in space, dodging blaster shots and watching other astromechs eat it while you repair the hyperdrive.
Well, this game has a much better idea: they make that a cut scene. Instead, you get the opportunity to play as “guy taking a taxi to the senate” (you’re welcome) (take your time).
Maybe you’d add a quick escape fight with Maul in the desert to your game. You idiot. You fucking buffoon. This game knows people would rather skip past that and play a sequence where they wander around Boss Nass’s apartment wondering if he’s home or not.

I think they should’ve packed every Lgo Star Wars level they’ve ever done into this game along with the new ones.
Overall, it’s fine but it doesn’t feel quite right. The menus are janky and have way too many options.

I agree with McParadigm that mumble mode is definitely not the same as when they used to write the cut scenes without speech. The gags they used to tell the story without words were always top notch.
Whoever said the menus sucks was right too. What the fuck is all this nonesense.

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Yeah the menus are really clunky and hard to navigate. I've hardly been using them. I'm just playing through the stories then will go back and mess around in open world and maybe delve into the menu stuff more.

Guys, this game is boring. I just run around following arrows. There's no battles.

Yeah, 75% of the game is in the "open world" areas where you just smash bricks and collect kybers. There's a lot of "stuff," none of it terribly interesting. Add the shitty menu and upgrade system on top and it's hard to enjoy a session of this game.B wrote:Guys, this game is boring. I just run around following arrows. There's no battles.

The Dooku cut scene with him coming out of the shower got a laugh out of me.

Previous Lego Star Wars entries and the big Marvel Superheroes game were vastly superior to this.Monkey_Driven wrote:So, it's a Lego game?Ensign9 wrote:Yeah, 75% of the game is in the "open world" areas where you just smash bricks and collect kybers.
