Is there no Batman? Looks weird, interesting, might suck. I don't trust Todd Phillips or Lady Gaga.

Well, not really, because that was Joker's origin story, and Bruce Wayne was still a child. I guess not much time passes in this one? But I'd be surprised if he doesn't show up at some point.

Yeah, my only interest lies in how different this one looks. It appears to be a tragic love story, not a superhero one. But why Joker at all then? I guess to sell tickets.

the first one and this one, it seems, are way more cinematic than that. I like that. I hope they dont build a movie universe with these characters though.

Yeah, I like that these movies exist outside of the awful DCEU. I'll also watch anything with Joaquin Phoenix - he was fantastic in the first one.

The first one was very derivative in content and style of Taxi Driver and King of Comedy. This one might set itself apart by being somewhat unique, cinematically. Phillips is as of yet far from auteur territory. Surely this one will be derivative of something.

Its supposed to be closer to a musical, so i guess after the success of the first one they have creative freedom to do something pretty crazy. I hope thats the case. Seeing Lady Gaga is involved is a very good hint at that.

Yeah, I'm hoping for a really big swing on this
