Ten, Vs, Yield and No Code would probably make my Top-10.

I don't have an order per se, but also on that list would be... REM Monster, SP Siamese Dream, Superunknown, GNR Appetite for Destruction, Stones Sticky Fingers, Tragically Hip Fully Completely.

I find it somewhat strange as well. I'm all over the map when it comes to music. I tend to latch on to anything that takes me away from reality....music I mean, well...and some other stuff.

I would limit Pearl Jam to maybe two spots just for that reason .

Can I put all of The National's work in one slot? I dont want to choose.

I'm more inclined to make a top 10 bands list than albums.
There are alot of groups that make great music but have very underwhelming albums.

I'd put 10 000 Days at number 3

No Code would definitely be in my Top 10. Yield would be somewhere in the Top 20.

Truth be told, Aenima & Lateralus Rank higher on my board. Lipan - Intention do nothing for me.

Ranking Pearl Jam in context with your other favorite bands

it is a different sort of relationship with music. i suppose it is possible this just means you haven't looked hard enough for new music, but it is just as likely that the relaionship you have with that artist elevates your appreciation for what they do.

Yeah well maybe I'm not sure after all. There are also such grand numbers as Push It, and H, and Aenima, etc. But the part "overwhelmed as one would be placed in my position" alone gives me such chills as no other piece of music does still.

Favorite, not best? Yeah, I'd have at least four, maybe up to eight in my favorite 20 of all time.

Vitalogy, No Code, Yield, and Binaural would easily be among my favorites of any album by any band.

I really don't think this is the case at all. I think our favorite artists become our favorite artists because they produce a significant amount of work that we relate to in a meaningful way--I don't think that necessarily says anything about how much stuff resonates on a smaller scale.
