I'm torn between MFS and Undone.

I'm feeling "U" at this moment, but at another I could go with "Undone." They're both enjoyable, light-hearted songs that don't try to impress the listener, but aren't slight enough to be throwaways either.

I have to now go and listen to all 3 because I can't remember what any of them sound like. What the hell am I doing on a PJ message board??

In fairness though, what are any of us doing on a PJ message board??

Undone is the answer here btw. MFS is better than I remember it being too.

"MFS" was my favorite song on Lightning Bolt when it first came out, and even though it's fallen quite a bit since, it remains one of the most unique and aesthetically engaging moments on an otherwise pretty staid record. And yet, the ass-kicking it's taking here at the hands of two relatively minor pre-PRAMG songs feels completely justified. I could go either way on "U" or "Undone" -- my heart belongs fully to both of the albums that orphaned these delightful tracks, and both tracks manage to capture the spirits of their respective sessions with a weightlessness that the actual album tracks understandably lack. Hmmm.

It's gotta be "Undone." All else being equal, it's just the better-written tune -- by design, perhaps, but still. Vote for "Undone."

with leatherman and nothingman in the catalog and the other songs making up the '-man trilogy', the ocd in me always has to have it be betterman. i even retag any digital files i have to this whenever it's entered as better man (which is the case far more often than not). i don't do this for dead man, which just begs the question as to why i even bother. fuck.

Tough call between U and Undone. Two elite b-sides.

MFS never really clicked for me.

I want to lean towards My Father's Son, as it's my favorite piece of music out of the three, but the vocals and lyrics really sink it; it's rare for one aspect of a song to weigh it down that heavily, but those lyrics are really out in front. I've never been a huge fan of Undone, and I get a lot out of U, so I'll go with the latter.
