That's generous.
it's only fair.

btw, costco now having self checkouts has been a game changer.
I love a self-checkout

i do too, except for that overly sensitive prick of a self check out and our local grocer. it makes you place whatever you scan in the "bagging area." Ok, great. but if you pick anything up or even move anything around in that bagging area after it's been scanned, the light goes on and it requires you to get assistance. i swear, if you breathe on the items the wrong way the thing will lock up. and then i'm standing there, feeling shame, with the light on, all other people in line behind me staring at me, and the store employee giving me an exasperated look for having to come over and scan her little badge. that thing can eat a bag a dicks.

this used to stress me out, then one of the self checkout assistant people tipped me off that if you just wait like 5-10 seconds, it'll clear and let you continue. stress free ever since.

Like, you can even remove a bag of stuff you’ve already filled up off the bagging area, and it’ll get over it.

I can confirm it works well at Mariano’s.

Costco: Where else can you get a 2-gallon bottle of whiskey, socks, a 4lb block of cream cheese, a 5,000-pack of chlorine tablets, and an inflatable kayak.

Just a miserable experience there today. Packed with chubs and elders and so many free samples. I don’t do the free samples, and I resent the way they clog everything up. People are pigs. If it’s a new weird product, fair enough. “Hey, I’ve never tried seaweed toast.” I get that. But people trying bagel bites and then saying, “Oh, those are pretty good” are so disingenuous. You’re fucking fat. You’ve had them before. Cut this performative bullshit and stop standing/resting/masticating in the middle of the aisle entrance like a water buffalo. The only people I want to see getting a free bagel bite sample are the ones trying to get the taste of that seaweed toast out of their mouths.

As an affluent house of 2, why even bother with Costco?
