My parents always listened to Dylan in the car so Desire or Blood On The Tracks.

Off my own back and discounting Alvin and the Chipmunks, Kiss - I Was Made For Lovin' You. Dynasty and Unmasked were massive albums for this wee 4-5 year old boy.

As far as rock goes, Welcome To The Jungle and Paradise City, a few years after first hearing Words, was a massive shift for me. Had heard other rock, but it didn’t really register, then I heard these songs, and wow. Led to plenty of other rock, including Pearl Jam a few years later.

I always enjoyed music and noticed it very much as a kid. I remember getting Mickey Mouse Disco on vinyl

as a kid and thinking that was pretty great.

At around that same time (so 1979-ish) my brother made me a C90 tape of all David Bowie stuff, and I just loved it. The first song was Starman, which was great, but track #2 was my jam - Space Oddity. So yeah, my brother made sure to indoctrinate me with the good stuff from an early age.

It amazes me that my brother and I had a turntable in each of our rooms from about 8 years old on. And I had Kiss records from 4 or 5 onwards and my brother got Iron Maidens Number of the beast when he was 11. When I was 5 or 6 I got Kiss makeup at my brothers' Sunday School fair. Needlessly to say I wasn't going to Sunday school.

My kids seem so innocent by contrast.

The Do Ray Mee song from Sound of Music. Still love it.

Probably Queen's 'We Are the Champions'. I was a big fan of The Mighty Ducks.
