Just finished reading in Tweedy's memoir about how Uncle Tupelo recorded their debut with the guitar from the Dinosaur Jr. album, Bug.
Not sure I'll go down a rabbit hole on that, exactly, but I'll definitely be listening to both albums soon. From there, it's definitely possible that a deep dive of some sort will happen.

the other day, super nintendo chalmers posted the below song in the Albums of 2022 thread.
i immediately loved it and wanted to hear more. i've since listened to most of his output (and man is he prolific) on his bandcamp page. i'm waiting until tomorrow to buy a couple albums.
Pulverized And Slightly Peaced is like a Crazy Horse album.
one of his albums--Bedspring Symphony--is with a guy named Simon Joyner--never heard of him, but checked out his work too because rabbit holes. this Joyner fella, who is also from Omaha, has influenced Bright Eyes, Beck, and a handful of other artists, and has quietly (sort of) made a name for himself. i'm listening to his album Skeleton Blues as i type this. it's lovely. have a listen...
circling back to the inspiration for this post--David Nance, who's sound oscillates from NYCH to Ty Segall (to my ears), lead me listen to Neil and CH, and i've ordered a couple of NY/NYCH albums, Broken Arrow, Hawks & Doves, and American Stars 'n Bars.
i've fallen.

My son is currently on a 10 week trip around the US meeting up with a few different groups of mates as he goes. I'm enjoying posting regular songs to the 'Daily Bangers' messenger group we have.
It's meant I get to go down rabbit holes on the daily as I find out what artists were from whatever area he happens to be in at the time.
So far I've got Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego, LA, San Fran, camping in Yosemite and New York covered. I'm currently in a Boston rabbit hole and I'm loving it. Buena indeed.
