Can't really argue with a good solid set played well.

Eddie was very much engaged with this performance and the crowd. He did a little climbing towards the end of the set.
Jeff looks like the dudes from Mastodon.
People who are still unsure about Matt's value in this band can fuck off because he fucking killed it last night.

Great set and good energy from the band.
Expect sets to be fairly standard through the BDO shows. Have to play the classics.
The crowd seemed a bit bored during sirens and it was like no one had heard Mother before. Very quiet at end of song.
Mind you I stayed back a little bit so I imagine different up close.
Audience boot floating around now...
Doubt they'd play BDO in future. Given they didn't sell out anywhere and crowd participation was low - most sing alongs died pretty quick. Betterman wasn't too bad though. I did enjoy Groupelove, Mudhoney, Cosmic Psychos and Arcade Fire. Arcades set seemed a little long as much of the crowd were pretty restless by the end but they do play with energy. Hell didn't even mind Beady Eye either. Sitting on the grass in the shade made for a good set.
Glad many enjoyed. Have definitely made my mind up not to go to any other BDOs this year (for family reasons only) so am now looking forward to the EV sows.
And agree Matt was excellent last night. Mike always seems on his game and Eddie worked damn hard. No complaints from me on performance.

I did notice my own attention begin to wander during some parts of the set, mostly when they played material from their three most recent records.
Won't see them back on the BDO, given that the festival will probably disappear before their participation would be required again.
I enjoyed hearing that Win Butler (Arcade Fire) played basketball with Jeff while in NZ.

I took this towards the end of the set, during either Jeremy or Sad. It looks better viewed at full size.
