i'm embarrassed for you at this point lol. i get what you are saying though. it something people point out about ringo starr, he's not overly proficient and only plays in 3 and 4, but his drum patterns compliments the beatles songs perfectly....even if paul mccartney is telling him what to play. i think it's just odd to pick chad smith of all people to have a problem with, especially when you defend meg white lol. i assume you don't like to dance?

I think most everybody in this thread is undervaluing complex drum parts just as much as tree is undervaluing groove and "feeling."
