Why are we getting music videos in general in 2022Ms Harmless wrote:the blue car in the desert stuff is dad rock car commercial, the performance stuff is fine but done to death
everything from the bridge onwards is the first part to suggest drama and a narrative (space suits etc) and look interesting
why are we getting a video for this song now?

Agreed. We are getting The signal that there’s no new music coming anytime soon.Ms Harmless wrote:there are a handful of artists still great at it; Pearl Jam aren't one of themspike wrote:Why are we getting music videos in general in 2022Ms Harmless wrote:the blue car in the desert stuff is dad rock car commercial, the performance stuff is fine but done to death

Surely there is no higher praise than this.Bammer wrote:It’s better than Def Leppard’s latest video.
Yeah it's a bit of a mystery, that one.dprival78 wrote:why wouldn't they use the live track then?igotworms wrote:It's to promote the release of the Gigaton tour edition.Ms Harmless wrote:the blue car in the desert stuff is dad rock car commercial, the performance stuff is fine but done to death

My guess would be they didn't feel there was a "chorus" that sounded nearly as good as the original or worthy of a video/single. This version of QE is also on the new release, if I'm not mistaken. It's a "double disc", right?igotworms wrote:Yeah it's a bit of a mystery, that one.dprival78 wrote:why wouldn't they use the live track then?igotworms wrote:It's to promote the release of the Gigaton tour edition.Ms Harmless wrote:the blue car in the desert stuff is dad rock car commercial, the performance stuff is fine but done to death

For a band known mostly for its "voice," backing vocals were never its strong suit.Oversize wrote:My guess would be they didn't feel there was a "chorus" that sounded nearly as good as the original or worthy of a video/single.
