I wouldn’t say I feel trapped, but I do feel like moving a significant distance is out of the question at this juncture.
Wouldn't you miss that coworker you bang?
I would miss her and 3 other coworkers that I also do not bang.

I think I get the wanderlust more than the itch to move.

I think this is not really a big deal and your confort level in doing so just boils down to how much experience you have doing it. Some people move a lot. Moving is just a pain in the ass.

From SoCal the PNW, right? I’d love to hear more about what prompted this and how you’re feeling about it.
its not so much a move as of now but i wish it to be...we're house swapping with friends that have a house on an island north of seattle for the next year..my wife is from vancouver bc and is an only child..her parents are in the their mid 80s now and its basically a 90 minute drive to their place..we love our place here and want to keep it but at some point soon i'd love to sell it and move up there where it actually rains and isn't on fire and i can wear a fashionable coat in the winter and neighbors don't come over and take shits..

I’ve got this friend who also has worked in education for 20 plus years. He took the past year off as a leave of absence. During the leave, he was forced to resign because of some content on a podcast he does. He is currently jobless. Today he sold his condo. His plan is to live at home for a couple of months, travel again beginning in October, and then live in South Korea permanently beginning in March while doing remote work. Fucking crazy.
